SWISSE DETOX — DAY 1 | “RESET”

Hey! We’re so glad you’re joining us for this much-needed detox. Day one (that’s today) is all about hitting a giant reset button. That’s a metaphor, but you know what we mean — we’re putting last year behind us and starting anew. Anyway, let’s get to it…

Today’s Activity

Who’s ready to get moving?! Alexx Robles (@alexxrob9) will be teaching a yoga flow session on our Instagram (@swisseusa) today at 10am PST. Alexx is a yoga and surf instructor in LA. She grew up extremely athletic and high energy, always looking for a way to keep her body moving. In 2014, she took her first yoga class, which then became her way of focusing, relaxing, and balancing the energy of her mind and body. Alexx has been teaching at Corepower Yoga for a year and a half and always continuing her own education in mindfulness. 

Yoga flow is a fluid choreographed sequence that matches movement with breath work. It typically includes deep stretches, balances and peak poses, and it’s great for burning calories, building strength and improving your posture.

In case you miss out on the yoga session, go ahead and move your body in whatever way you please. Lift some weights, take a walk outside or follow an online workout — it’s all good.

Today’s Recipe

Green smoothies are kind of synonymous with detoxes, so we figured they'd be the perfect way to start ours. 


Ingredients: 

1 cup unsweetened almond milk

1 cup spinach frozen

1/2 medium banana frozen

1/2 cup fruit of choice

1 tablespoon chia seeds or ground flaxseed (optional)

Swisse Beauty Collagen (optional)

Pinch of ground cinnamon

Ice

  1. Blend all ingredients together.
  2. Enjoy. :)
