Panax ginseng is native to Korea and China, and has been used in eastern Asia for thousands of years. Traditional Chinese Medicine considers it to be the most potent energy, or Qi, tonic. The term 'Panax' is derived from the Greek words for 'all-healing'.

As a Qi tonic in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Panax ginseng is usually indicated when energy is lacking or lethargy or lack of appetite are experienced. This herb has also been extensively studied and scientific evidence indicates this herb may be helpful, usually in combination with other herbs, to support health during immune challenges, menopause, fatigue and convalescence.
